The principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine are to seek the root cause of disease in the body and to restore the balance between Yin and Yang.  Treatments are given with regard to the seasons, the climate and each individual’s constitution. A core component of TCM is called vital energy (Qi). This energy flows through the body via meridian systems. TCM restores the balance by reactivating body’s own healing mechanisms……..

TCM treats the patient holistically and emphasizes prevention and self-healing.  Unlike

allopathic medicine, in most cases, TCM does not directly attack abnormalities but

adjusts the whole body to reinforce the energy circulation in the abnormal area.

The methods of TCM treatment include but are not limited to following:

· Acupuncture

· Electro-acupuncture

· Moxibustion Therapy

· Scraping Therapy (Gua Sha)

· Cupping Therapy

· Chinese Herbs

Acupuncture: uses finger pressure or special fine needles to harmonize and activate the

body's own healing ability.

Electro-acupuncture: small electric pulses sent through the needle.
